Fremont Street ! Where old Las Vegas meets the new! WEBCAM

Right out the front door of the Plaza Hotel/Casino, Fremont Street awaits. With the attractions of a midway, live bands and the amazing Fremont Street Experience! You'll also find the best dining, here on Fremont Street.

The Fremont Street Experience is a 5-block open-air pedestrian mall, a landscaped strip of outdoor cafés, vendor carts, and colorful kiosks purveying food and merchandise. You hear a musical heartbeat and lookup as the metal canopy of lights above you explodes with sound and color. When those lights go on, the casinos go dark. Every night the high-tech light-and-laser show (the canopy is equipped with more than 2.1 million lights) is enhanced by a concert-hall-quality sound system. It comes toward you and zooms over your head. The Fremont Street Experience includes "Odyssey: The Illuminating Journey," which travels from the rain forest to the urban jungle, "Dancing in the Street," a musical medley of songs by The Supremes, Smokey Robinson and Aretha Franklin, as well as tributes to Vegas legends, country music and classic rock. Best to place to watch? balcony of Fitzgerald's. GET THERE EARLY to get a seat on the balcony.
